Adding a New Contact

 

This topic details the process of adding a New Contact to an existing Company in your database.

 

1. On your Dashboard navigate to “Customers” tab. The mouse over would open a drop own menu. Select New Contact 

 

2. A new window with data fields opens up for you to fill in the Contact’s details.

All the red star marked fields are mandatory and you would not be able to move forward unless you have filled them in.

 

3. Name – Key in Contact’s name

 

4. Designation – define the Designation of this Contact within his/her company

 

5. TIN – is the Tax Identification Number would be Contact’s PAN number

 

6. Relationship Code: is given to this particular contact by his/her company to be used in all of his/her communication with your organization. 

The field is important and not mandatory since there would be instances where this data is not readily available.

 

7. Country – is the where this Contact is based at.

 

8. Address – remember to put the full address for this contact

 

9. City, State, Zip – All mandatory fields

 

10. Phone 1 – is mandatory and others are optional but good to have

 

11. Email 1 and Email 2 – are mandatory and Website is good to have

 

12. Targeted Industry – This is to record to this Contact’s targeted industry segments, especially handy if a particular Company deals in different industry segments.

Same Contact could be associated with more than one segments in that case you can select more than one verticals/segments by pressing Ctrl and Selecting.

 

13. Comments – any additional notes and comments that need to be highlighted should be put in here.

 

14. Team – this is where you give access of this Contact's information to different teams in your organization.

 

15. Status – refers to the Status of this Contact within your organization. Whether he has company in the been approved or not; to communicate for the particular Company.

 

16. After you have entered all the info, double check and click Submit.

 

Note: Adding a New Contact in the Suppliers database follows the same process but on Suppliers tab
